Debra Manville
Elastic Forms

Opening Reception Sunday, March 8th 2-5pm
RSVP

Elastic Forms is a solo exhibition by Oceanside-based artist Debra Manville, whose bold abstractions feel like maps of sensation—shapes stretching, pressing, drifting just out of frame. Her compositions are confident but elusive, a tension of motion and containment.

Manville’s work invites a quiet decoding. Vibrant forms lean into one another, collide or hold still. Edges are sharp, colors unexpected. Nothing explains itself, yet everything feels intentional.

There’s a rhythm beneath the surface, a push and pull, a kind of visual breathing. As if the paintings are trying to tell you something just beyond the limits of language.

Presented in the Spartan Gallery, a 1954 Spartan Royal Mansion trailer reimagined as a high desert exhibition space—Elastic Forms becomes a meditation on movement, pressure, and the poetics of balance. These are not static works. They hover. They shift. They hum.

This exhibition is private and by invitation only.
Location and viewing times will be shared upon RSVP.
